Almighty God, most loving, most merciful, you created man in your image and enabled him to manifest your power and love among men and creatures. We present our Nigerian Sultan and Imams to you, that you give them the courage and nobility to manifest this love to liberate our ideologically and structurally malformed and plundered society in Nigeria (and Africa); for persecution is worse than slaughter.
Through some of their works, your servants, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Ibn Rushd, Muhammed Ali, Ibn Taymiyyah, Abu Hanifa, Ibn Sina, Al-Nu’man opposed the yoke of ignorance and intolerance by promoting functional literacy, enlightened humanity and private property rights. So, we pray you to give the Nigerian Sultan and Imams the spirit of boldness, liberty and clarity of the newest times to confront the reigning neocolonial bondage in Nigeria (and Africa) with the ideals of intercultural liberty, which is the belief that:
“there is something great in every community and culture, and so, they all deserve the liberty to own, modify and use their cultural, human and natural resources to prosper and manifest their greatness to their communities, nation, continent and the world. And that the four institutions of public regulation, which are government, religion, academia and mass media, are only made to support these communities and their members to manifest their greatness”.
We pray that Nigerian Sultan and Imams will boldly inspire our Muslim brothers to look inwards, imbibe these ideals and support in Nigeria’s liberation process, starting with Restart National Conference. Then, Nigerian Muslims will be one of the most productive and socially responsible Muslims in the world, and join in the joyful praise of your most loving name like other children of God around the world.
